Hello beautiful people,
It is official, I have a British bank account, and am applying for a British Drivers licence, just cos. It will make it easier in the future when I am travelling all around Europe again aha. #priorities
This whole bank card situation was not looking good in the beginning at all, however, the blessing came – Lloyd’s bank is green so naturally, I found them appealing because of my favourite colour, but the customer service wasn’t too bad either. Shout out to worker Charlotte Hercules, yes that was her last name. She ‘joked’ with us that she would be Sister Hercules, and I ‘laughed’ out of desperation for this bank account. All went according to plan, and now I have a hold of my passport. It has been very tempting to leave the f r e e z i n g cold and to elope to Spain. I’ll keep you updated if I am still in the UK next week.
This week feels like a week of events. I was able to go back to my two previous areas – Manchester South for that Sisters Day, and to Wrekin for exchange. So nice. I was able to be with Sister Estamante who is from the Philippines. I learned so much from her, but in particular that I need to continue to focus on the work. I agree as I have been distracted by temporal things. I mean, look at the first part of this email. Nevertheless, I hope you all found it entertaining.Additionally, our beautiful friend Chloe was baptised on Saturday. Although it was the Elders who predominantly taught her, I have been able to spend so much time with her over the past couple of months and it has been amazing to be a witness in her spiritual journey. Her faith and courage continue to astound me. She is so grateful for her baptism and I have never seen her happier.
