Week 47

Hello beautiful people,
The sun is out, the tights are off. The weather is slowly transitioning to Summer and I am no longer obliged to wear my Michelin man coat. #deflated
The Temple. Monday was great. Enough said.
The week continued to be spiritual as the Manchester, Chester and Newcastle-under-Lyme zones came together to hear more inspired counsel to direct, edify and unify us in the work – repentance. President Ulrich has very powerful addresses that were full of charity and

emotion. I was asked to participate by reading a verse within Mosiah 4:1-10. Those passages really stood out to me and helped in motivating my focus to be directly on the work, that the little things are a distraction, and to have faith in the Atonement of Jesus Christ. It requires complete trust in the Lord and diligence or a continued effort. I know that this is what I need to apply as I have received so much patience and mercy, and now is the time to act. The Saviour makes us whole, the Redeemer makes us greater.

Mosiah 4:6 I say unto you, if ye have come to a knowledge of the goodness of God, and his matchless power, and his wisdom, and his patience, and his long-suffering towards the children of men; and also, the atonement which has been prepared from the foundation of the world, that thereby salvation might come to him that should put his trust in the Lord, and should be diligent in keeping his commandments, and continue in the faith even unto the end of his life, I mean the life of the mortal body—

This week I made more boyfriends than friends, and I received a job offer. If this missionary thing doesn’t work out, I did manage to get a phone number for a marketing company that would be more than happy to have me. Long story, short, in Crewe Town Centre there are these promoters helping the community switch to Talk Talk Broadband. They are those annoying workers that give disingenuine compliments to begin a conversation in order to sell you something of poor quality. They are the reason that our street displays aren’t well received. Anyway, their employees were three well-dressed young men by the names of Elliot, Adam and Eamon who were 22, 20 and 24 respectively. I was approached and using tongue and cheek I promoted the church. Sly Sister Mads.

Sister Elgueta and I are really getting along. It’s not the time for her spotlight yet, but she is an amazing drawer. She has a particular interest in anime, and so everything has a Japanese twist. I asked her to draw me as Sailor Moon, as that is my limited knowledge. I have attached the photo #bless

Fun fact: Today we are going to our neighbouring area, Congleton. It’s a rather magical place as Harry Style’s first job, yes, the bakery, is there in Holmes Chapel. It’s either that or we are going hiking at a place called ‘The Cloud’. Sister Elgueta loves chocolate and I love Harry Styles, so the bakery seems like a great option. Surprisingly, I’m not the biggest fan, as Elder Korth was the one to suggest it.
Until next week,
Much love,
Sister Turnbull
