Hello beautiful people,
Firstly, I love you all and your many responses. I wasn’t in any way criticizing your lack of replies, in fact, I was being sarcastic, however it is nice to know that many of you read my emails.
In congruence, after my dental appointment, we indulged in milkshakes. To be fair, it was in celebration of Norwegian Day. The tradition is that children can have as much ice cream as they want. It makes no sense, but as Andrea has taught me, you don’t need to understand something to accept it. Shout out to my mother, Andrea.More good news, the Bakery redeemed themselves as last week we were able to go and take our photo with Harry. Harry and I were very happy.Anddddddd it is that time for spotlight on Sister Elgueta. #jennyfromtheblock
Sister Elgueta was born on the 15th of October 1995, it was a Sunday, 11:28pm Chilean time, to be exact. Moreover, as she lives in Norway, the time difference means that she was born on the 16th of October 1995, so she celebrates her birthday on the 15th and 16th, and she also has an identical twin sister. So many doubles ! Speaking of birthdays, if you are wanting to purchase her a gift, you can never go wrong with The Body Shop. At first, she wasn’t very happy in Crewe as we don’t have a store here, and if that doesn’t show her obsession, I don’t know what would.
Reside, Holiday or Banned – England, Norway or Chile ? That’s awful. Ummmm. I need to think. Reside in Norway, Holiday in Chile, because it is hot, the beach. And I’ll have to ban England and London. I am so sad. She didn’t even mention Manchester, or her mission for that matter. Let’s pray for her to develop charity.
Favourite colour ? Black. She used to be emo, for real.
Favourite band ? Alice Nine. They are from Japan. She is going to marry the guitarist.
Like you all, I have no idea who they are. Sister Elgueta is Asian on the inside. As mentioned previously, she has a love of anime, KPop and matcha. Kidding, the latter is apostate.
What are you looking forward to at the conclusion of your mission in August ? I am looking forward to, ummm, ahhhh, tsk, tsk, being home with my family, shopping, using my phone whenever I want.
Sister Elgueta has definitely gained an appreciation for the spiritual things in life.
Next week is transfers. By now, you would’ve thought that I would be okay. No. Never. I become so anxious – It’s not that I don’t like change, I just can be overwhelmed with the unknown, with my fear of inadequacy.
Mosiah 23:27 But Alma went forth and stood among them, and exhorted them that they should not be frightened, but that they should remember the Lord their God and he would deliver them.
We never have to do anything alone. I need to remember that Heavenly Father does know me personally and perfectly, He has a plan. I am praying and fasting to increase my trust in Him. If I look back to the trials and challenges that I have faced throughout my mission, He has always been right beside me. Choose faith, not fear.
2 Nephi 4:20 My God hath been my support; he hath led me through mine afflictions in the wilderness; and he hath preserved me upon the waters of the great deep.
However, in preparation to leave Crewe, I will be getting a haircut today.
Much love,
Sister Turnbull
