Week 55

Hello beautiful people,
I hope that you had a wonderful week and it wasn’t raining as much as it was here. It is that type of weather where it is not visibly raining enough to have an umbrella, but if you disregard any waterproof wear you end up absolutely soaked. You would think that after my year mark, I would stop complaining about the weather. No, it is a obligatory part of being a Brit.

It is that time of the transfer that I am sure you are all excited for… spotlight on Sister Nyoni.
Unfortunately, this will be written without her permission. She is not my biggest fan.
Sister Nyoni is from Nelspruit, South Africa. She is 19 years old, however she will be 20 in the month of July. If you want her to smile, you just need to provide her with Nandos and a black forest cake. Simple woman. I don’t know how we conquered our challenges and differences, but I am grateful, and she is my little sister. In fact, we have taken unity to another level. We colour coordinated with exactness and it was by accident.

Also, shout out to Hayley Kate. She is the Bishop’s wife and she is amazing. She is a self-published author of two books: Guardians of the Mask and Sid Red Rim. They are available for purchase on amazon. Check them out !

This week we had a full district meeting, which meant we had the Bailey’s, a wonderful senior couple, and the zone leaders in attendance. There were ten of us present, and of course it would be the week that Sister Nyoni and I were ‘invited’ to give a training in regards to focusing on our saviour, Jesus Christ. I love John 21 as there are so many lessons to be learned of love and loyalty throughout His work. Furthermore, I know that Christ can relate to me as he suffered for all my pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind (Alma 7:11), and he understands what I am going through, however how can I relate to Him ? By learning of Him, truly comprehending what He has done for me, appreciating how I need and recognising how I utilise the Atonement each day, accepting the infinite unconditional love, and by expressing my gratitude for the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Since the beginning of my mission, my relationship with my redeemer has become personal.

“For those who feel they are alone, you can stand resolutely in righteousness knowing that the Atonement will protect and bless you beyond your ability to fully understand.”
—Quentin L. Cook, “The Lord Is My Light”

Lastly, President and Sister Ulrich have officially returned to Utah, and President and Sister McReynolds have arrived in the England Manchester Mission. He is from England, however he lived in Australia for 13 years, and Arizona for 8. The sad thing is that they prefer Sydney. I’ll forgive them one day.

Much love,
Sister Turnbull
