Hello beautiful people,
Despite this week including my lucky number, I am not feeling transfers are in my favour at all.
SISTER MIKE MY BEST FRIEND, COMPANION AND MALAYSIAN TWIN IS LEAVING ME
#DROPTHEMIKE
Oh, and on a global, exotic companion note, my new companion will be Sister Elgueta from Norway.
And, as we are affected by transfers, we are not able to go to the temple.
I will miss Sister Mike so much. I mean, I am losing my camera and personal photographer, so expect less quality and quantity photos in next week’s email.
It was a short five weeks, but a great one at that. She has taught me so much ! Especially about embracing who you are and giving yourself credit. I hope to serve around her in the future, and if not, I’m sure you’ll see pictures of us in a Malaysian rain forest next year. http://rwmf.net/
On a spiritual note, it was really nice to be able to celebrate Easter, or Jesus Christ’s atoning sacrifice which includes His suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane, on the cross at Calvary, and what the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints like to focus on, His resurrection. And like Christ, we can overcome the effects of spiritual death and physical death. That through Heavenly Father’s plan, and because of Jesus Christ, we can find inner peace in a chaotic world.
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
John 20:19 19 Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
I know that we have a literal father in Heaven who loves us more than we can comprehend and that he desires only the best for us. l am so grateful that God sent his only begotten son, Jesus Christ to perform the Atonement, that one day we may be resurrected and receive the gift of eternal life. We may all experience trials, temptations and tribulations, but the Saviour is always walking beside us.Happy Easter and enjoy the long weekend. Drive to the beach for me.
Enjoy the photos. Don’t take them seriously.
